Do you provide assembly instructions with your towers?
Yes comprehensive assembly instructions are supplied for each type of Alto tower and can be downloaded from the site. In addition we can supply a CD which includes assembly instructions for all of the Alto access products.
What standards do your products conform to?
All Alto Towers conform with the British and European Standard BS EN 1004 - 2004.
Does your Low Level Access Range conform to the new Working At Heights Directive (WAHD)?
Yes, our range has been designed specifically to meet the demands of this new europe wide legislation.
What warranty do you offer?
All Alto components carry a one year warranty against manufacturing defects and our welded joints have a lifetime guarantee.
Do you offer a repair service?
Alto have several repair companies around the country. Please contact our sales office for your nearest branch.
Does your company have Company Liability Insurance?
Yes, Alto carries extensive product liability insurance due to the nature of its activities worldwide.
Have your products been independently tested?
Yes, Alto Industrial Towers have been independently tested by the British Standards Institute and Alto M.D. Towers have been tested by TUV The German Test Body.
Can I wear a safety harness when I build your tower?
Yes, unlike other makes of towers Alto towers are strong enough to withstand the shock loads imposed by someone falling off the tower. For more details contact our Sales Department.
Can I build a tower higher than the height shown in your Assembly Guide?
Yes, the height shown in our assembly guides are the heights specified in the BS EN 1004 – 2004. If tied in, Alto towers can be built to heights in excess of 30 meters. Refer to our Sales Department for further guidance.
Are the heights quoted for your towers reach height (the height at which you are working at) or platform height?
All Alto tower height specifications are the height to the top platform. A comfortable working height is normally an additional 1.5 meters above platform height.
How often do I have to inspect my tower?
You should inspect your tower before every use, but in the UK it’s a legal requirement to inspect the tower once a week if it has not been moved.

Yes, we have a fully integrated technical department & CAD facilities, drawing on many years of experience, working in the Access industry.
