Chelsea FC choose Alto Seating for Cobham Training Facility

August 2008

Chelsea FC's new Academy and Community Pavilion has been officially opened and the occasion marked by the Inaugural Chelsea FC International Tournament. The 3 day competition, held at the Surrey based training ground, included youth teams representing the hosts, River Plate, Ajax & Bayern Munich.

Alto Seating Systems are proud to have been selected to manufacture and install three permanent grandstands, complete with canopies to this state-of-the-art training facility.

Alto qualify for UEFA 2008

June 2008

Alto has been awarded the contract to provide additional seating in the St. Jakob Stadium in Basel, Switzerland in readiness for the forthcoming soccer tournament. Part of the contract was to supply and install a special grandstand in the Marathon corner of the stadium. The contract also consisted of a series of floor mounted seats placed throughout the stadium to add an extra row behind 3 of the permanent stands.

'Accies' ready for the SPL with Alto Seating

April 2008

Hamilton Academical Football Club gained promotion to the Scottish Premier League on Saturday 19th April with a 2-0 win over Clyde. The club required extra seating to meet the SPL's minimum criteria and they chose Alto Seating to provide a 498 seat grandstand and canopy. Congratulations to all at 'Accies' and good luck in the Premier League.

Alto look to South Africa

February 2008

Holland Park Opera use Alto Seating

May 2007
In May 2007, a specially designed Seating System was supplied and Installed to Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for the Korn/Ferry Opera. The acclaimed event runs for 10 weeks every summer with a programme of operas from Verdi, Rossini, Janacek and Montemezzi.

Alto Seating designed and manufactured a bespoke seating solution for an audience of 1000 people, a 20% increase in capacity. It features “cinema style” luxury seats with individual armrests, high backs, deep, comfortable upholstery and an additional 6 inches of legroom to provide maximum comfort throughout the performance.

In addition to the grandstand, a rear mezzanine system, also created by Alto Seating, was supplied to house the sound and lighting booths for the show, but also provided a 140 m2 foyer/meeting area over for use at the intervals. 2 glass panelled staircases give access to the rear of the grandstand and also to the mezzanine itself.

Alto Seats at National Equestrian Centre

July 2007
In January 2007, Alto Seating Systems supplied and installed 400 seats to Oatridge College, West Lothian, Scotland. The Alto seats were installed as part of a brand new Scottish National Equestrian Centre which was opened by Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Rothesay in May 2007. The 2 separate stands were installed in the main arena for spectators to watch show jumping and dressage events.

Alto supplies US Tennis Open

May 2007
In July ‘06, Alto supplied and installed 2 permanent seating structures for the 2nd court at the USTA Billy Jean King Tennis Centre, New York. The structures added an additional 500 seats to the stadium that is home to the US Tennis Open.

The US Open was recently named the most successful tournament in history, setting records in attendance, sponsor activity and sales concessions.

Alto supplies NASDAQ-100 Open

2005 - onwards
In January ’06, Alto supplied and installed 6000 temporary seas for the NASDAQ Tennis tournament at Crandon Park, Miami. The Alto Seats were used to increase the capacity of the Centre court form 7,300 to 13,300.

Now known as the Sony Ericsson Open, the tournament takes place at the end of March – and where this year, fans watched Andy Murray reach the semi finals but then lost out to eventual tournament winner Novak Djokovic.
